EE 321 Fall 2010
Laboratory Instructions
- Laboratory exercises are to be carried out during lab hours only,
Mondays 14-16:45.
- There will be no opportunities to make up missed labs or to have
additional time to complete the lab.
- Your are encouraged to work in groups of two, but not more
(unless an odd number of students forces a group of three).
- The regular labs will count for 80% of your grade, the final
project for 20%
- The lowest regular lab grade will be dropped. You may use this to
improve your grade, or to miss one lab during the semester.
- Pre-labs are optional but are recommended. Completing the
pre-labs may help you complete the labs in the allotted time.
- Your laboratory grade is based on the work entered in a bound
notbook according to the following procedures.
- It is recommended that you enter pre-lab work in the bound
notebook, either before the lab, or at the beginning of the lab.
- Laboratory work should be entered in the bound notebook during
lab hours, not on separate sheets.
- Use permanent ink and mark mistakes clearly but do not leave
them unreadable.
- Only work entered by you during lab hours will count, with
the following exception.
- You may leave space to enter plots generated after the lab
from data collected during the lab, as well as discussions of
those plots.
- Make sure your notes are neat, complete, correct, and easy to
follow. In particular, include enough information that your work
can be reproduced.
- Laboratory books must be turned in on Tuesday, the day after
the lab.
