EE 308
Homework #10
Due April 7, 1998
- Consider the following simple output port:
Use this as a model to build an 8-bit input port which will be read on a read
to any even address in the range 0x2800 to 0x2fff. A chip you might consider
using is a 74HC373.
- For the simple input port you design for Problem~1, determine whether
the setup and hold times of the HC12 are met by the 74HC373. The HC12
Electrical Characteristics manual will tell you the setup time for the HC12
(how long the data has to be on the bus before E goes low), and the hold time
(how long the data must stay on the bus after E goes low). Assume that the
glue chips are 74HC series chips with propogation delays of 15 ns.
