Homework Assignment 4
Due Sept. 19, 1997
- A two-wire transmission line has 0.05 inch spacing between wires and the
wires have a diameter of 0.02 inches. The insulating material is teflon, and
the wires are copper. A 10 MHz signal is transmitted down the line.
- Find R', C', L', and G' for this cable.
- Find the characteristic impedance of the cable.
- Find the speed and wavelength of the signal on the cable.
- How far can the signal go down the cable until its amplitude is reduced by
one half?
- Problem 2.8 from the text.
- Problem 2.9 from the text.
- Problem 2.11 from the text.
- Problem 2.13 from the text.
- Problem 2.15 from the text.
