These are backgrounds for use in WWW pages, animations, graphics... wherever you need a seamless tiled background. Starting from the original set created by the maintainers of this site, the archive has continued to grow thanks to visitor contributions. This archive is part of KPT Online. We welcome your contributions to the archive.
We've also written a short tutorial on making your own seamless backgrounds for those who just can't find the right background anywhere
To download a background in Netscape 1.1b1 or later, simply click on the one you want and hold down the button until the menu pops up (use the right mouse button on PC's.)
Note that the images are NOT links - you will be grabbing the actual inline image. You must have NS 1.1b1 to do this. Otherwise, you will need to use the ...Save next link... command in your browser and manually enter the directory and filename of the image you want. Then select "save as..." and the background will be saved to your disk. Netscape kindly provides a guide to using backgrounds. If you would like to contribute, or you need help with backgrounds, please send a comment.

Currently there are three sections to the archive. Soon we will be
splitting the archive into smaller sections, to reduce the problems
