 Prelab for Lab 4: DIODES AND ZENER DIODES

Read the lab before answering these questions.

1. Use the diode equation (eq 3.1 in Sedra and Smith) to find the expected current for 0.1, 0.2, 0.3, 0.4, 0.5, 0.6, 0.7 and 0.8 V (let IS=10-8, and n=2).

2) If you had measured the diode current ID = 1 mA at 0.6 V and ID = 10 mA at 0.7 V, find IS and n for that diode.
