Objectives for EE321, Part 4, FET's
We will cover all of chapter 5 in Sedra and Smith.
The educational objectives for this part (the lectures, homework, labs and test will all be directed toward achieving these objectives) are:
-
Understand (comprehend) the different types of FET's, how they work and their characteristics.
- Design bias circuits to put FET's into the desired operation regions.
- Design single stage amplifiers with FET's to meet desired specifications.
- Analyze FET's used as active loads (in nmos, cmos and current mirrors).
Design FET switches
- Graphically analyze FET circuits with both active and passive loads.
