A block of rooms (13 king non-smoking, 17 two-queen non-smoking) has been reserved at the Holiday Inn Express in Socorro, 1040 N California Street, phone (575) 838-4600. This hotel is about 1.5 km from campus (indicated by the "A" balloon on map at left), and transportation will be provided for those without rental cars. If you call and request the "SPARC" group block, the rate is $82 per night ($91.84 with tax). More information can be found at the ( hotel's web site). There are comparable options in Socorro if the Holiday Inn Express fills up. The Best Western, (575) 838-0556, and Comfort Inn, (575) 838-4400, are located nearby and transportation can be arranged from these hotels as well. More economical options near campus include the Econo Lodge (575) 835-1500, Days Inn (575) 835-0230, and Super 8 (575) 835-4626. You may find a lower cost by requesting the government rate at these hotels.
We recommend making your hotel reservations in Socorro as soon as
possible; there are other meetings here that week, so many hotels will
fill up. The block of 30 rooms at the Holiday Inn Express is being held
until 27 May.
